My life was determined from early youth right up to me being pensioned by work.

When I grew up, in my village I worked by the hour at a large family that ran a pub, a farm and traded coal. That was not easy for me but I could improve my pocket money that way.

When I returned in the evening tired from the work I switched the radio on and enjoyed the music. I especially liked pop songs.

That’s how it stayed, throughout my not always easy life. Now I live in a retirement home and still like to listen to the music. If there is live music on I am always there.

In that way the radio and the music accompanied me through my whole life.
